Intro

Life goes on when you reach 55, 60, 62 or whatever age when one qualifies to be a 'Senior'. Or an 'Elderly' person. Besides inability to do some things as well as before, like running or climbing stairs (eh, but can 'tahan' longer, you know), and can now see far but not near, and can't hear stereo so good, there are social and environmental obstacles to contend with for another one or two decades. Worse lagi, for many Seniors, there is no Income.

So I am checking around to see what the terrain's like. If you are aware of anything that'll be useful to us, please Comment and share with us.

The Std 1 class photo above was taken in 1953, our third year in Geylang English School. The one below, our Pri 6 class, was taken in our last year ie 1957. School changed from 7 years (Pri 1 - Pri 2, Std 1 - Std 5) to 6 years (ie Pri 1 - Pri 6) and we were the last batch to do 7 years. Unlucky. 26 (including the 3 teachers) of the 42 in the lower photo are in touch; 4 have passed on.
